NASA punched the sky ... and it worked.

Two independent measurements show that NASA's DART mission to deflect the trajectory of an asteroid succeeded.

Incredibly, DART's amazingly accurate long-shot punch to an asteroid's face was made even stronger than the impact alone by the force of the blast ejecting material from impact site. A real one-two punch that might *** save the planet *** someday.
