lololol just found my old Scuttlebutt profile, which I resorted to the first time I tried Mastodon (and bounced off) in 2018. I can tell you that I was 100% back in my bullshit even then – I posted a few dozen times, mostly about #infrastructure and “Death Stranding” and the #fungalturn (surprise!).

The narration is a bit, er, overwrought, but Joel Penner and Anna Sigrithur’s short film “Wrought” (2022) is an extraordinary 22-minute journey through rot, fungal growth and decomposition. @wordswithnima Oh my yes. They are core instances of the cinema of the #fungalturn. Do be aware, however, that there is one fairly graphic moment of bodily violence in “In The Earth.” (It’s fully in the tradition of B-horror, but some people don’t like that kind of thing.)

It is clear from all the wonderful #mycology and #lichensubscribe content hereabouts that we are deep into the #fungalturn, and I couldn’t be happier about it!
