I finally upgraded to #Funkwhale 1.3.x. I need to enjoy our improvements more

Прочистил свою #Funkwhale. Переустановка с нуля сказалась положительно. Получше его узнал, перезалил первые альбомы, где я еще в Django админке добавлял обложки. В общем теперь все выглядит так, как и должно быть. Осталось обновить другие ноды, которые наследуют музыку по локалке.

Aunque se ha fastidiado Funkwhale, porque han metido el nginx en el ansible de actualización y ha machacado el mío. Y no funciona ni queriendo desde hace varias versiones.

I had no idea the fediverse had an option here. I want to use this for my own #music so it would be private, but I think I found myself a weekend project.

@meljoann well, it was great for some time but now defunct. I think the last remnants of somewhat working code are still available at getnightingale.com, the #FOSS fork of songbird. But for it to work you need a whole ecosystem - the #blogosphere - which has been defunct for some time now as well. The closest to the original experience is something like hypem.com, but it isn't free.

It is funny in a way because I think #feed readers are more popular than ever, but exclusively in the form of #podcast apps. And with the popularity of audio-over-rss, and with things like #soundcloud and #bandcamp, one would think that now would be the best window for something like "Songbird 3.0".

Maybe the #Fediverse can conjur something up. @Stoori mentioned #funkwhale, but I haven't used it yet.

For those who don't know: #Funkwhale is part of the Fediverse and an awesome platform for sharing :cc_cc: freely licensed music and other audio.

I once hosted a Funkwhale instance for climate justice podcasts and stuff, but shortly after the :fff: FridaysForFuture podcast I was publishing there stopped making new episodes and since nobody else seemed to be interested in publishing on my instance I canceled it.
