Went on a bike ride for the first time this season and it did not disappoint (fitness level is indeed exactly as bad as I expected 😜).

Will be some time until I feel like I can ride mountain passes again.

Here's a picture from a ride from back in 2016. Viewpoint is the top of the Furkapass (2'429m / 7'969ft) looking to the Grimselpass (2'164m / 7'100ft) on the other side. Classic ride is to also include the Sustenpass (2'260m / 7'415ft), so you get a loop of around 120 km with 3'400m / 11'100ft of elevation.

When our main crew left Switzerland after shooting for Real Road Adventures, I stayed behind with Sherri James, one of our videographers, to shoot footage of driving over a few iconic Alpine passes in our EV. In one day, we covered the Simplon, Furka, and Oberalp passes, driving from Bellinzona to Chur and arriving with plenty of charge on the battery. What a wild ride!
