You can thank the assholes that patented it for that.
Also unless you #root your android and build a custom #Kernel with #FUSE support you can't use ntfs-3g.

195 followers · 237 posts · Server sfba.socialafter a recent linux upgrade, i found that appimages stopped loading - double-click, nothing. the log complained that '#appimages require #fuse', which led me to the article at bottom - you still need fuse 2 even though the os has moved on to fuse 3.
sudo apt install libfuse2
only libfuse2, not fuse or any other package - those may remove bits of fuse 3 that you do need.

I'm sure I'll see edge case problems where I don't follow the Linux "unlinked-but-open" semantics...

I used tar, zstd, and ccrypt to spew data directly onto /dev/da0 :D
I did learn that I needed some zero padding at the end for it to work properly, so I made a ~100MB /dev/zero-created file, then catted my tarball and the zero file onto the thumb drive.
It gives a zstd error when extracting, but no data loss. ;)
