#GreatAlbums - #1970s: #FleetwoodMac – #FutureGames (1971). This LP began a long middle period as Mac transitioned from blues to the atmospheric rock of its next few albums. Christine McVie becomes a full member, singing the upbeat “Morning Rain,” and newcomer Bob Welch leads the ethereal title track. But the set belongs to Danny Kirwan, whose blissed-out “Sands of Time” sinks into “the magic of a blackened night” like a cool acid dream.
