Tell me a story about a small thing in your ideal future, 10 years from now.

I'll start. In 2033, urban planning happens through people prototyping. People just change places they want to change. This is done in a temporary way. If it was bad or too controversial it gets taken down, but success means that the municipality makes it permanent. Waterloo bridge was the first example, today it's a proper garden:

What is a thing 10 years from now that doesn't exist where you live today?

10 years from now there are youth centres but for everyone in every neighborhood. Sometime in the last five years, the people realized that it isn't just kids who need to have a place to hang out with their friends, and get to know new ones. With the 6 hour workday, many filled their free time working on projects together to further improve the community.

What is a thing that is common in a future you want, that exists someplace today?

I'll start with an example: mushroom farms in unused parking houses. In the future I want, there are much fewer cars, and so there was a need to use these boring buildings for something useful. Turns out they were perfect for growing mushrooms, so now most garages are providing local food for the community.
