"The Linux PCMCIA support in modern systems is generally terminally broken and orphaned. The best approach is to load a very old Linux (2.4 era) onto an old laptop and use that."
The old laptop is no problem, but where can we find the "very old Linux" as a downloadable ISO image? #fuzix #nc100
Today's fun with #fuzix #retrocomputing is the NS32K. For platforms whose toolchain doesn't produce nice relocation data I link twice at two addresses 256 bytes apart and find the bytes that differ by 1. Easy - but not the NS32K. Oh no. Jumps have the address of the target big endian as do some other things, and the rest is little endian, except for the stuff which is a 30 bit signed constant. So link it at 0 and 0x00020100 and the order of the differences tells me which way for each relocation
Looking for someone who can help or assist to install and run #FUZIX on a Amstrad NC100 (with RAM-Extension) or other Z80-Hardware/Emulator https://github.com/EtchedPixels/FUZIX
FUZIX on the Pico RC2040 Board.

Fuzix on RC2014 running ZX81 software with the zxkey adapter (slightly hacked to make it match the ZX81 matrix mapping) and some small ROM patches to the ZX81 ROM. It's running under Fuzix on a TMS9918A card, and yes it's still multi-tasking!

Fixing another gap in the Fuzix gaming space. A few bits left to finish up but fuzix now has its own re-implementation of dopewars

Yesterdays #fuzix project. A rework of the vile editor code into a sbuset microemacsish thing. Enter fleamacs. Still need to flesh some stuff out but it's getting there.
For the curious this is what the Z1013 standard keyboard looked like. #retrocomputing #fuzix
Two new #Fuzix platforms now sorted. One is a bit rough so far.
The first is the Z1013 with enough add ons, he second the KC85/1 and KC87 with GIDE and MegaROM. Both DDR computer designs and somewhat related. Neither particularly good for running Fuzix on, which makes the challenge more interesting.
The later much more powerful KC85/4 is ironically even less suited to running Fuzix.
If you thought the Sinclair ZX81 keyboard was horrible, take a look at the default Z1013 keyboard!
Fuzix for ESP8266 now has all the other bits filled in and since there just about enough GPIO lines it also supports TCP/IP via a WizNET 5500. Yes you can irc on an ESP8266. #esp8266 #retrocomputing #fuzix

The ESP8266 port David Given got to single tasking I now have happily multitasking. Fuzix is ridiculously snappy at 80MHz even with SD card as swap and one task in RAM at a time.

It started with trying to find #fuzix from pluspora.com
Just https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fediverse 'platforms' tells what protocols are compliant to what.. makes me wonder...
