Neck still hurts. At least I'm not so dizzy anymore though.
My laptop screen is glitching out again *sigh*
Hoping it really is just software and not a bent capacitor or something. Like, it already went over two weeks without glitching out after last it crashed and i had to wipe C: and reinstall everything.
Et cetera et cetera.
One of my big suspicions regarding my laptop previous to its latest recent fatal crash was that Google Drive auto-sync has been interfering with my laptop battery & sleep management. So one of my big hesitation right now is whether or not to install again the Google Drive auto-sync daemon/app on my freshly reformatted/reinstalled Windows 10 system.
Without auto-sync I would of course have to manually back-up my files at a regular & consistent schedule, using calendar reminders etc.
I am going to keep using Google Drive though, regardless, for my off-site file backup. I find it very valuable that someone could (knock-on-wood) steal and/or physically destroy my laptop and I could still download most if not all of my most impotant files & data from the cloud down into my new laptop. I already pay around US$10.00 per month for 200 gigabytes of space, so far paid yearly, and with my current unemployment status that's right about at the limit of what I can manage/afford to pay.
Ideally of course I'd rather have a multi-terabyte NAS backup solution with offline mirroring like what's offered by Synology or other similar providers, but that's neither here nor there now is it. Or maybe at least one of the one terabyte offers from any of the big cloud storage providers (Dropbox, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, NextCloud etc.)

Reinstall done.
Nuked my SSD (drive C). The partition was hella funky & unrecoverable. Most all of my data was in the two partitions on my spinning-rust hard-drives though (drive D & E), and on my Google Drive.
Reinstalling all the apps is still going to be a chore though.
My laptop has crashed again today, and this time I have not been able to make it recover.
I still hope to avoid doing a complete disk wipe & Windows reinstall, at this time.
38.9Β°C. I'm not completely sure i measured right out not w/ the thermometer, but there it is.
*tries to go back to sleep.*
Drawing idea: Beeple sitting in front of his workstation working with the caption,
"Fourteen years of everydays. Nonstop. How does he do it?"
βββ
How does he do it indeed, all while continuing to take on client work, and setting up & running his digital studio.

Jeez I'm delirious. I'm not sure what my temperature is atm but it's not so high that I'm unable to type this out on my phone and press publish.

Sometimes I feel offended when my own mother calls my flute a "trumpet". I don't know why I feel offended. I most certainly should not feel offended at all.
She only does it when she's tired. And she does call it a flute most times I swear.
ββ
I mean a not-few-number of my neighbors and social acquaintances still call it a "saxophone". Regularly.
And I'm talking about working-age, under-60-years-old people here. University-educated at that.

Had fun playing some flute at church vocal-group practice tonight π
Just a smallish thing for this Christmas. I came in late, with only one more practice session after tonight (tentatively two more, if schedules permit...)
Anyways, yeah... π π
I wish I have a new replacement computer that doesn't fatally crash every time the system goes to sleep and doesn't semi-randomly bluescreen every three hours or so.
It would make my exploratory learnings so, so much less stressful and depression-inducing.

I should draw again...
β¦But later. I've got a music recording session tomorrow & I'll be going drills on my flute today. It's going to be a live recording and the more practiced we all are the fewer number of takes we will be having to record.
I'll draw on Monday or the day after.
Have yet to draw again since end of Inktober. But I've done some chores so I still consider my week so far a Win. πͺ
"Bad Dog", the theme for tomorrow's Inktober, is going to be a challenge⦠Drawing a dog in the process of eating a homework, that might be way for me to go.
β¦But it's not going to be easy drawing a dog shaking its head gnawing at a homeworkβ¦ but I think it's doableβ¦
Practiced some pop/jazz/whatever music in the studio with some cousins today.
Not promising that anything will come out of it this time.
Nevertheless felt good to actually for realsies play flute again. Instead of just goofing around or pretending or stuff.
Nothing recorded. For now.
Practice session again next week.

I've essentially given up on sending job application emails.
I've been sending applications for more than two years now (admittedly less frequently these days) and I've yet to receive even so much as a read-receipt.
Some people are just tired of warfare-induced trauma. For whatever values of 'warfare' and 'trauma'.
I do respect that.
I'm tired like that too, to an extent.

Yet another neighbor got infected by Covid again today. Our literal next-door neighbor this time.
Fourth house to get a case in our neighborhood throughout the pandemic so far. Number of casualties: so far one.

Tired, I am.
