My #zs6bkw / improved #g5rv #antenna finally broke completely- the ladder line broke off and it fell on the ground, along with the coax line. Of course, the goats found it first and destroyed it 😂 I made a new feed line with some rg8x coax and tested it with the great little #nanovna - results: 0.33 dB loss at 5Mhz, about 1 dB loss at 40Mhz for a length of 50 ft. Decent, I think.

I had invited a friend over this afternoon to help move around my #vhf #antennas on the roof, and rehanging the #g5rv that came down while I was out of town. Looks like our freezing fog might be keeping us off the roof!

My #trusdx fits nicely in a recycled Pelican case along with my #G5RV dipole. Makes a decent to-go kit. But I think I might need to make an #EFHW soon as it would be a lot smaller and easier to deploy into random trees.
