Also, will it be able to maintain a connection with the receiver (phone, pump, etc) when it’s on the opposite side of your body? Because I’m really tired of it dropping signals due to what I’m perceiving as my body being too dense 🙄

There will be no #5G-only smartphones, because the devices are always backwards compatible (4G/3G/2G - the latter still works over a wide area). Moreover, the next generation change in radio technology will take longer than three years, because the current investments in the 5G network must first have paid off.
