@nightparadox Yeah, the preservation argument, particularly given how badly most of those consoles are documented (as far as public documentation goes) is a much better argument against exclusives.

Of course the current trend of #GaaS makes that even worse, as even when the hardware is still perfectly functional and you have the full game local, you might well end-up entirely unable to play it.

@Rasp They should fix that. No one wants #GaaS death to be a problem.

@ignaloidas @alfredohno It'd make sense too since the server is providing an actual service.

It'd also make later server release or reverse-engineering to prevent #GaaS death when the game is deprecated much more seamless.

I'm Alex, I'm the Director of Live Operations at Creative Assembly, a games studio in the UK, famous for their Total War: Warhammer series, Alien Isolation and Halo Wars 2. Im currently working on a few projects, but the biggest one on my day to day is HYENAS, a new game we announced earlier this year.
