Le bien, le mal, le temps qui passe, l'amour, le destin,...Si vous aimez T. Pratchett et Neil Gaiman, sachez que cette seconde saison est la droite lignée de la précédente. Jon Hamm complète le duo Michael Sheen/David Tennant à merveille. Certains seront certainement hermétiques voire détesteront cette série. Pas moi.

Chivalry by Neil Gaiman and Colleen Doran. I'd really enjoyed Snow, Glass, Apples, Gaiman and Doran's grim and gore retelling of Snow White. I didn't know what to expect with Chivalry, and if anything, I enjoyed it even more. Chivalry is the story of a lonely, widowed English pensioner who spends a bit of her weekly pension on books and treats at the Oxfam store. One day, she sees the holy grail there and finds it good looking, so she buys it for 40p. It stands on her mantlepiece until one day, Galahad shows up at her doorstep. Chivalry is very funny and sweet, it feels like an old fairy tale for the modern age. It's also beautiful, very different in style to Snow, Glass, Apples. It's a short book, and maybe a bit overpriced for its length, but it's really enjoyable. #comics #graphicnovel #fantasy #folktale #gaiman

This is interesting: "The Celestial Omnibus" short story by E.M. Forster (1912).

It really reminds me, in theme, tone, and treatment, of stories by Neil Gaiman, which is not something I expected from Forster (but of course, I'm absolutely no expert on Forster, though I've read several of his books).

Anyway, I enjoyed it, and it is interesting to wonder: if Gaiman were writing 100+ years ago, what would it look / sound like?

Watched the first ep of The #Sandman. Mildly irritating in that #Gaiman way—plus sketched in and hammy. No interest at all in continuing. (I loved the comic 25 years ago.)

No, w końcu mogę powiedzieć o jakiejś książce, że jej nie polecam. Dziwne, bo chodzi o Neila Gaimana, którego zwykle cenię, a tutaj - mimo wprowadzenia swojej tradycyjnej, ziemsko-magicznej atmosfery i mieszania naszego doczesnego świata z tym nadnaturalnym - niezwykle mnie wynudził. Brnąłem przez tę krótką opowieść i na niektórych rozdziałach niemalże zasypiałem. Trochę więcej działo się pod koniec, ale jest to równie przewidywalne niczym mój brak platyny w Teamfight Tactics. Jest trochę wzruszeń i tyle. Zawiodłem się.

Ce matin j'ai relu "l'arbre et les corneilles", un petit #conte de Noël paru dans " Le jardin des silences" de Mélanie #Fazi. Très doux comme histoire. J'apprécie l'écriture de Mélanie Fazi et sa manière d'amener les choses, de poser des ambiances.. C'est généralement très #fantastique. donc cette nouvelle n'est pas à l'image de ce qu'elle fait habituellement.
Pour rester dans ce mood, je lirai sans doute"un bal en hiver " de ce même recueil.
Et puis je passerai à un Neil #Gaiman après.
