@cvwise made light work tonight about prototyping the wood-and-steel #galaksija case. Tomorrow we will refine the design with cardboard, and then with clear acrylic and wood.

The next big step in my #galaksija project is going to be designing and manufacturing a replica of the factory-produced metal-and-wood case with @cvwise

I was able to convert the #galaksija audio dump to MP3, load them onto an old iPod, and load programs off of the iPod!

I would like to get my Radio Shack tape deck working with it, but I suspect that there is too much noise when I record and/or play from it. It looks like I need to service the tape player, maybe recap it. From the insides, I can tell that there was some battery corrosion at some point. @mejs @cvwise

Despite my best efforts, I _cannot_ get an actual tape deck to work with my #galaksija. Computer is fine, but recording it to cassette and trying it from tape hasn't worked.

Great success -- the 3D printed keyboard plate for the #Galaksija fits perfectly!

I got the sample #galaksija keyboard plate -- it looks like it will be a good fit!

And together with the updated case, which I'll also need to manufacture.

I've ordered the plate first, since it's smaller and cheaper to manufacture (I don't have a 3D printer). I'll use it to verify if my measurements were correct, and then I'll order the new case.

Full plan is to then use this case to design a Sketchup model for the double layer board, which has ports built in. I'll also include a gap for the expansion port, which I want to add to my Galaksijas...

What an incredible surprise this morning for all #yuretrocomputing aficionados and #Galaksija fans - Dejan Ristanović, the other half of the Galaksija project, just published a feature-film-long video about his memories about the Galaksija.

This is basically a whole documentary film for fans. So much new information and details many of us have been wondering about for years! Unfortunately it's only in Serbian but I'll see about making English subtitles for it.
