For those of us who translate to or from any of Spain's co-official minority languages, if this proposal is ever approved, it would mean that the EU's excellent multilingual terminology database IATE would start to include terms in those languages.

Spain has asked the EU to add the Basque, Galician and Catalan languages to its list of 24 official languages as part of Pedro Sánchez’s efforts to woo smaller regional parties, whose support he needs to secure a fresh mandate as prime minister.
Brussels would need to translate hundreds of thousands of pages of EU law into these languages, adding to the strains on its stretched translation service.

Of course I would if the flag of my nation had its own #emoji But my people are too small and unimportant, too divided and too indolent to demand it.
On the other hand, would it make any difference? Would this #emoji make them less unimportant, less divided, less indolent…? I don't think so.
Yet, I am one with them, flag/emoji or not… That's why I always #tag myself as #galician That may be what makes me more proud about it.
