Gallarus Oratory, probably built between the 6th and 13th century AD. It is the best preserved early Christian Church in Ireland. Some believe it could have been a burial place. As with the stone beehive buildings, a corbelling technique has been used to enable the rain to run off.

Gallarus Oratory. Possibly an ancient Christian Church, or even a burial place. Probably built between the 6th and 13th centuries AD. There are different opinions.
It's a cut stone building which has survived remarkably well, with a corbelled technique allowing for water run-off.
