I have to share this story, as my was given quite a boost today.

I had finished an all day onsite with a client today in and was on my way home at the starting of rush hour.

I was just changing lanes for the M6-M18 interchange and I went over a cats-eye, which rattled the steering a bit and then about 10 seconds later, I knew I had a flat, but there was nowhere safe to pull over. So I found a spot on the actual interchange itself to pull over safely.

I've no problem changing wheels. I haven't needed to do so in about 10 years, but I'm well able, as we say.

In the 20 minutes I was stopped changing the wheel, 3 people stopped and asked if I needed help. The first as I was getting the spare and jack out. The second while I was jacking the car and the third as I was lowering it down again.

The kindness of these strangers is just incredible to cynical old me, in this day and age. All of them were in their 20s or early 30s.

I thanked each of them profusely for the offer and wished them a safe onward journey. What really hit this home for me, was they took the risk to slow right down and pull over off the road of this busy intersection to assist big old me. On the Google map below, X marks where I had parked.

So I'll just leave this here. ... ye're fucking so you are! Thank you.
