Random Controller of the Day

🎮 Xbox Controller “The Duke”
🗓️ 2000
➡️ Xbox

The very first Xbox controller, known as "The Duke" was criticised for its large size. It was replaced shortly afterwards by a smaller variant, known as "Controller S"

Despite the hate, there was enough nostalgia for the controller that in 2018, Hyperkin collaborated with Microsoft to produce a version of The Duke for the XboxOne

🎮 Gravis Gamepad
🗓️ 1991
➡️ Versions for PC (Gameport), Mac (ADB) and Atari DE9 compatibles (Amiga, C64 etc)

The Gamepad was a joypad made by Gravis, which featured a D-pad (with screw-in joystick option) and four action buttons.

A button on the controller turned the controls upsidedown so lefties could flip it to use it comfortably.
