Hey Mastodon friends! 👋 Today, I want to remind game developers about the importance of accessibility features. When designing a game, be sure to include closed captioning, alt text for images, and visual accessibility options like color-blind mode and adjustable contrast. By doing so, you can create a more inclusive environment for players of all abilities. Let's work together to make gaming accessible and welcoming for everyone! 🎮💻

Looking to create a successful and memorable game? Focus on creating a unique game mechanic that sets your game apart from others in the genre. Whether it's a new take on a classic game mechanic or something entirely new and innovative, your game mechanic should be the driving force behind your game design. A unique game mechanic can help your game catch the attention of potential players.

Remember, this is a tip not a rule!

Put the stat blocks on the page where they are used. It is annoying to have to page flip.

Be careful when building / modifying game systems to keep a consistent level of detail for the game you want. Mixing different levels of detail can have unintended consequences. For example, called shots (ex. shooting at a body part) can be defended against by changing your facing, so adding one without the other may feel unbalanced and less real to players.
