-Why even bother?
Well, they give a little more depth to the game. Just an easy way to achive liveliness and learning new quirky things with following a few princples.

--Hooke's law--
common algorithm used for spring-like things such as bells and fluid.
*F = -kx

main formula, depending on the case could transform into;
*F = kx + bv

due to Mastadon's post limit, you can look at the exact implementations in the gif's descriptions.

Spent the last couple days working on this new boost mechanic!

It gives the player a lot more control of what's going on, but you only get one (it resets when you hit a powerup/arrow).

What do you think?

Marble Mouse is a physics-based browser game that supports high refresh rates (120Hz, 144Hz, etc). For gameplay consistency, physics games must use a fixed physics tick rate. I tick physics at 60Hz and use linear interpolation to update objects.
