So, I finally got around to doing a blog post. I really need to figure out a way to do these more frequently... I mean, other than just doing them :D
First part of my conversion of Against the Cult of the Reptile God into Less is More (my NSR fantasy ruleset). Its mostly just set up and cosmetic things like renaming NPCs, but its a start :D
Me: I'm taking Monday through Wednesday off for some me time.
Coworker: That's great! any plans?
Me: Mostly just chilling and not doing much.
Also Me: Time Off To-Do List...
1. Restarting my organization system (getting back to my #GTD processes)
2. Cleaning up my workspace (#WFH necessity)
3. As much advanced #GamePrep as I can get done
4. Catching up on television finales (Putting off the end of #NCISLA)
5. Sorting out bookshelves
6. Rearranging drawer contents to fit more stuff in them
Super excited to be prepping this week's #Dragonlance session.
The party has left Vogler and the invasion of the northern countries is well and truly underway. Sticking to the module for this beginning was a good way to introduce them to Krynn and the aesthetics of the campaign. But, now it's time to branch out and start looping in the PC's individual subplots and dropping the seeds to carry them past the end of the module into the greater War of the Lance beyond.

GMs/DMs/TTRPG storytellers, what sorts of things do you do to build immersion or help new players get into a game?
Players, what are some of your favorite things GMs have done that helped you enjoy a game?
Example: in the Luminant Age PF2e setting playtest, Andrew shares an excerpt from an in-world text at the start of each session (in the NPC's voice). Really enjoying starting games that way!
