Finally got the gang of four back together for Sunday #GamesNight last night.
We played a fun first-run of Dunaīa which brings shared constructed worker placement spots and some engine building. Then an epic 4-way Fallout Wastelend Warfare, where a combined group of settlers and NCR succeeded in taking over the Red Rocket from a group of super mutants. Marvellous.

Just found an old gif from when me and my friends played #garticphone , a #drawing game where you decide the prompts, and the next person has to draw it. But the following person then has to guess what the prompt was and it continues until... Well, check out this glorious mess with a favourite prompt of mine: OMG! There is a Ninja in my Basement!

The second game we played last night was an old one: 13 Dead End Drive feels like a cross between Mousetrap and Cluedo. A wealthy woman has been murdered and you have to try and be the last person standing to gain the inheritance. You only know which characters you’re controlling, you don’t know who has which other characters as everyone rushes to trigger traps and bump off their opponents. We had 5 players and it was absolutely hilarious, utterly chaotic. #BoardGames #GamesNight

The main game I played at #GamesNight was The Quacks of Quedlinburg. I asked to play this because I’ve seen people raving about it online, but I didn’t realise it’s a push-your-luck game. I’m naturally cautious and risk-averse so it took me a couple rounds to get into it, but once I figured out the various ingredients I could buy, I started to mitigate the risk of drawing the white fluffy things (garlic?). I came last, but I’d like to try again; I think I can do better. #BoardGames.

Our warm up game at #GamesNight was Love Letter: a Game I NEVER EVER WIN because everyone ALWAYS PICKS ON ME. But today I had a bevy of handmaids to protect me and I ACTUALLY WON. Much self-congratulation ensued. #BoardGames

It was a late one at #GamesNight last night, with a five-player game of #wingspan. This is a game I mostly play solo so it was brilliant to be able to get it to the table with other people. Despite my teaching, everyone got the hang of it and we had a great time. I was pretty pleased with second place!
