Male Gang-gang cockatoo with growing male offspring from this season’s clutch. After this image was snapped, the amazing cockatoo feeding transpired with noise & poise. Unfortunately, the afternoon’s darkness did not allow the scene to be captured.

So in awe today to share the afternoon with a flock of 20+ Gang-gang cockatoos circling through the property. Watched this male, together with his female partner, from a distance of ~300m as he flew, wings spread, into an elm tree. The red, grey contrast against the deep green took my attention. Good birbs these.

Male & female Gang-gang cockatoos flying into the descending gloom of the day. We’ve heard the Creaky-door call many times & this evening finally I’ve managed (poorly) to capture them. They’ll be back. The move to Gembrook is proving fruitful. What’s TV?

@Ivy same adult male with a juvenile male (last season’s offspring.) We had a family of 4 visit us back in late April. The juveniles came back on October & we were lucky enough to have them feed in the back yards. Very very good birbs.
