To solve the bump stop problem, I wanted to do something different. I bought a Harbor Freight lathe and made an aluminum puck that allows me to recess the bolt on the axle side so that the rubber pucks contact a smooth aluminum surface. I haven't got it installed, but these photos will at least show you what I'm up to...
