I've replaced my garbage disposal a couple times.

It's one of the few jobs that I can and am willing to try to do myself.

Fortunately, I've always made sure that the replacements could use the quick disconnect ring originally installed in the sink and had an outlet pointed in the right direction & at the same height as the original to avoid such problems.

But I've certainly started other jobs that required multiple trips to the hardware store due to unanticipated problems, resulting in much annoyance and frustation.

So, I "feel" you. 😉

The time when your new #dishwasher drains so powerfully that it kicks the drain hose off the #GarbageDisposal intake, and water pours out from the bottom of the cabinets.
