Had Aunty visiting today. Just back home after dropping her off. Took a few extra minutes to have a look at the garden. Couple of her orchids were blooming - very pretty.

My MiL always had roses. When she died, I decided to try some in her memory. I thought it might help my wife remember her, but it doesn't (other things do).

No matter, my wife loves the beautiful flowers it produces. It flowered in early spring, finished, so I cut it back like MiL did, and lots of new growth. Now, late summer, it's blooming up a storm again! I can see 12 flowers and buds at the moment.

The dahlias are gorgeous colours. Surprised to see a bee caught in what appears to be some spider webbing on the pink dahlia - heaps of bees around the dahlias but first time I've seen one caught like that.

Shorter park walk this morning. Had to get back in time to help with mum's telehealth appointment. Stopped to check out the good stuff, like the butterfly amid the dahlia.
