再寫一件有趣的事情：關於園子。
雖然作為主理人之一打理園子一年多，但是因為 covid 的「斷代」，我並不知道很多此前園子的團隊運作，因此過去一年多的園子完全依靠自組織。自組織的好處是相當自由，而不好的則是沒有來自社區的財務和工具支持，社區生活負責人總想要幹點業績，時不時還批評我們做得不夠好，和派人來打擾一下。

在我和之前的理事會幾次抗爭下，他們想要指定人來管理園子的事情不了了之。
還有一個因素是，看似這個園子是一塊肥肉，其實是一個苦力：這些多數是象牙塔裡面長大的年輕人，有多少人能夠有耐心和毅力去堅持拔草、澆水、翻地和收穫以及親手做飯呢？

因此即使在我很忙的時候，我不斷地在園子群裡呼喊，大家快來幫忙啊，我們需要得力的人來主持工作！仍然是回應者寥寥。而那幾個曾經囂張地不得了，想要以「農業工程師」身份來介入園子的人，更是除了搶功勞的時候以外，從不出聲。

因此，即使目前我已經搬離那個社區，那個負責社區生活的員工仍然是有事聯繫我來主持，而我目前也還沒有找到合適的接班人……希望下個月的居民論壇能夠找到合適的人吧。我們仍然如往年，有一個攤位名額，我考慮要不要申請去主會場去做個 presentation.

怎麼說呢，這個社區絕對是巴黎最好的社區之一，這個園子可能是小巴黎最肥沃和bio 的土地之一，我依然熱愛它，而且作為校友，我也仍然可以回去參與園子事務。找個得力的接班人，也不枉我過去快兩年的辛勤勞作。

其實在過去二十幾年，我也遠離土地，但是當我重新拾起種子，拿起鋤頭，童年浸染的經驗和記憶都仿佛加成起來。枝繁葉茂蔬果豐盛就是最好的證明。

我在這裡的體會是什麼呢？
我是專業的農業工程師嗎？不是。我一直說自己有的是一顆老農般的心，對土地和雨露的眷戀，與草木鳥蟲相處的耐心。不過是和養育孩子一樣，只有長期和用心的陪伴，去發現他們每一天的變化，你會看見他們的需求，當你足夠了解他們，自然他們和你相處和諧。

我有一個曾經玩得非常好的朋友形容我的詞是：Harmonious, 說看見我在園子裡工作的時候，好像我是和這片土地和植物動物是融為一體的，我是如此地了解它們的需求，並且與它們相處得如此和諧，就像是讓人感覺繞樑三日的美好樂曲。

而 K 先生形容我的詞是 Natural ，說有了我，好像整個世界都會變得綠色和生機活潑起來。

那個園子早期的參與者，也是創始人之一，有一次非常動情地說，他從來沒有見過任何一個成員，像我這般持續和專業地照顧這個園子，我對整個生態系統的重建的毅力和完整，是這園子誕生十幾年來，最立體的。

之前園子的夥伴則說我就是整個社區行走的植物地圖，想要找什麼東西，我准能夠給出準確且詳細的信息。哪怕是冷門的或者是小小的、長在角落裡的植物，都被我記錄了下來。

我欣然接受了這些讚譽，倒不是想要驕傲，反而是謙虛，因為我沒有以所謂的「專業」頭銜來對待植物，我不過是三年（以及更久）如一日地保持好奇和記錄，還有真心的熱愛和觀察。

每當我與植物相處的時候，我常常心裡的那句話是：無他，唯長久相伴而已。

@landfrau 順便回復你幾天前的問題。我還不知道我會住在哪裡，但是我會盡量離園子不太遠，無論於我、於孩子和於這幾年建立起來的朋友關係和生活習慣。

An example of the week I've been having in the gardens is aptly demonstrated by this week's yield of green beans.

Last week 5 lbs. This week 1.5 lbs.

I almost pulled them up last night except that there where new leaves and beans to harvest.

Yellow stains streak most of this week's laundry, I hope they're not permanent, but are a testament to the chaos.

Coccum ‘scarlet dye’ is probably behind the name of a most interesting plant . On bright days the sun shines thru its purple leaves & they appear scarlet. It’s the ‘cotinus coggygria’, a variety of Smoke Bush. Earlier in the summer it was in flower, like smokey puffs rising in the hot air. I love its dark charcoal leaves edged with red.
The name ‘Cotinus’ goes back to proto-Greek days, maybe a wild olive tree in Iron Age S. Europe.

Love being able to grab snacks from the garden! No chems on this land means a safe assortment of forageable food ready to eat when ripe.

Passionflower fruit, lambsquarter, and mint augmenting yogurt, meat/cheese rolls, and water. Red clover 🌸 tea with lemon and honey is pleasant as well.

Note: always positively verify the plant type and it's edible parts before harvesting. There are many lookalikes🌱

Today I'll be harvesting our hundredth pound of food for donation! Super excited about this achievement!
How does it feel to know 100 pounds of food have been given and eaten by people in need in my community?
I don't know. It's kinda overwhelming to think about. I start getting weepy and a full sensation in my chest. I suppose that's grateful joy?

Doing some gardening yesterday and Hubby starts to hack away at a bush he thought was too big...Noooooo! That is the one that attracts the most hummingbirds! He left it alone. :)

Walking into the bustling food pantry to drop off this week's harvest had me weeping as I drove away.

As I'm giving the harvest and itemizing it for the staff, a woman asks for two of the bags of green beans being loaded into the fridge and all the food, minus one squash, from last week are gone.

Many times you may not be aware of your impact on a community.

Today I got to see.
