Today I learned a about #AsteroidOS [1]. It's like the LineageOS of the Android watch world. I really wish it (or another #foss project) project supported my Garmin Fenix 5s. I love the hardware and onboard software but don't care for the propriety app for connecting with the phone. Are there other options?

Apple Watch 8 vs Garmin Fenix 7, Update 2:
- While driving to Portsmouth and back yesterday, AW was supporting turn by turn navigation with gentle vibrations (of different length and rythm). Annoying at first, became quite helpful in the end.
- I am missing Garmin's Glance Loop feature, where one could quickly get lots of relevant data points quickly and visually. In AW it all is thinly spread across multiple apps and requires a lot of steps to gather.

Bought a cheap and good condition Series 8 45mm Apple Watch, so will give it a try, comparing with my long-term companion Garmin Fenix 7S.

Meine Uhr hat diese faszinierende Funktion, dass sie mir nach einem Training sagt, wie lange ich mich bis zum nächsten Training erholen soll.

Heute morgen nach einem strammen 10km Lauf lautete die Empfehlung ich solle 36 Stunden Pause machen.

Und nun, nach einem sehr produktiven Tag im Homeoffice, hat die Uhr mir die Erholungszeit gekürzt.

Dh also, meine Uhr denkt, 8 Stunden Büroarbeit sind so gut wie 11 Stunden Erholung.
