Mostly recovered from a long Election Day. Happy with the result but also just happy with how smooth the process was. I've been doing these since the 2020 Primaries and although the basic process has remained the same, everything runs so much better now.

Very happy that when the NYTimes decided to run some pictures of our location it was in a positive context!

The reason why Georgia Republicans keep trying to increase voter suppression tactics is because if this electorate is 65%-25% White/Black instead of 62%-28%, Walker would have won by the margin Warnock did.

I took a look at the voting numbers in our county. Unsurprisingly it was 70-30 #Walker vs #Warnock. Thank goodness for the bigger counties.

Looking around the state, pretty much all the rural counties like ours were in that 60-40, 70-30 range.

Regrettably, I did use the 🐦 to check the latest news bits on the #GARunoff election. (I'm very happy with the results)

I found fascinating (horrifying?) how interspersed between the content I wanted to see, incendiary troll tweets were mixed in, presumably to encourage me to rage tweet reply.

I hope in due course that the #fediverse (or anything but 🐦, tbh ) can replace the misery and grossness of scrolling through the tweet firehose.

Sharing this recording of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra performing the 4th movement—The Pines of the Appian Way—from Respighi's "Pines of Rome" because I feel like it captures the Georgia senate race.

It begins with uncertainty, and as the piece progresses, there's a feeling of hope, which ultimately leads to triumph.
