Great chart by @business@twitter.com showing how a retroactive application of the EU gas price cap would look like. The cap would have been active for more than 40 days between August and September, ie when the EU’s need to buy gas at any price to refill storage made it a seller’s market. 1/

We called for a #GasPriceCap for months! The poorly regulated gas market and speculation put millions of of European in energy poverty. The agreement was long overdue!

الاتحاد الاوروبي وافق علي تحديد سقف سعر الجملة للغاز الطبيعي عند مستوي ١٨٠€ من ١٥ فبراير (السعر الحالي حوالي ١١٠€ لكن وصل في أغسطس لحوالي ٣٨٠€). تم التوصل لسقف السعر بعد مفاوضات شاقة بين الدول الأعضاء (#المانيا كانت معترضة عليه). مفروض ان تحديد سقف السعر يعمل استقرار في الأسعار في الاتحاد الاوروبي.
