Finished Snowflake step 3 for book #6 yesterday. Fastest I've ever done it, but I've been working with these characters since 2012 and I know them inside out. Two new ones took a little longer, but their story arcs are shorter, so ... 🤷‍♂️

Today we left all the house move stress, and the writing coalface behind, and flew here to our favourite holiday destination: the beautiful Dodecanese island of Rhodes. Not even halfway down my first megali glass of Mythos, I felt the beginnings of a GORD attack. Or GERD if you're American owing to your idiosyncratic spelling of oesophagus. That was 3 hours ago, and it's only just starting to pass off now, largely due to me not drinking the rest of my beer (lesson learned from last time), swallowing a large dose of PPI, and eating something bland to mop up the acid.

The next two weeks I'll be walking a tightrope trying to work out what's safe to eat, and what I should steer clear of. Not so long ago a holiday in Greece without Mythos would've been unthinkable. Now I'm even wondering about moussaka and soutzoukakia. Still, look on the bright side. Sun, pool, good friends, lots of reading time. It's not all about booze and food. Is it? Ho hum.
