I really enjoyed this. It was a beautiful account of a boy’s entry into adolescence in the 1970s, his relationship to music, and his complicated parents. It weaves in and out of his adult life, about to start a new relationship. The main character is unapologetically gay, not bullied or victimised for that, but learning nonetheless how we have to navigate our identities and so often hide our real selves. #QueerLiterature #gayBookReview
