...and the last part, I promise. The as-for-now-final map going to printer (and for testing).

I will be bringing Kyzikos and Pylos scenarios and components to GMT West next week for a "public outing".

One way or the other, I will pursue this project further. What will come out of this is hard to tell at this moment. Something interesting, I hope, and something that does some justice to Ancient Greek warfare.

Hexes forever, work-in-progress. I am not a graphic artist but this enterprise gladdens my heart.

Mouth of rivers Ciane and Anapos, a place of action around 415 BC. Syracuse is little off-map, "to the bottom", as this map is not oriented to to the north.

Whoever is going to see this 'half-map'... won't confuse it with the official material ;)

Google Earth is helpful. Other parts of 'Peloponnesian' Mediterranean are also within one's grasp. Sandals forward.

Some of gaming is done solo. As a person with a fondness for Ancients, I like to play Great Battles of History.

On the pictures below my first attempt at winning a scenario from Caesar Deluxe - Chaeronea with Sulla against Mithridatic army.

I enjoy "tactical puzzles" and trying to find a way to win as an underdog. Yellow Mithridatic army is an underdog here.

Romans executed a frontal attack and break through the enemy line in 3 turns. It is a puzzle that I haven't solved yet.
