@abe I feel the #fediverse is a collection of interconnected communities. Mastodon Canada (https://mstdn.ca) is starting to feel like a #Canadian community. There are pretty active regional tags like #Ontario and more local tags like #Ottawa. I have even connected with folks in my community of #Barrhaven.

The #GC tags could bring together #PublicServants. Weekly posts using the #GCdigital, #GCverse, #GChr or #GCdata tags could create some community action too.

We should really start saying #data is the new #renewablegeothermal or something. Oil is very much not a new thing, nor a particularly future-proof investment for the forward thinking folks out there. There are no more dinos, and fewer to find.. #GCdigital #GCdata

I’m a public servant with 20 yrs of struggle under my belt, now at the Public Health Agency of Canada.

At PHAC I lead a small team of tech forward cloud folks, working on building new data analytics toolsets. 100% worthwhile effort imo. #GCdigital #GCdata, etc.. and now #GCverse !

Otherwise, love jumping on my (pedal) bike, hanging out with my kids, playing video games, and flying FPV drones.
