It's been a while since I ran #OpenBSD on the desktop, and I forgot that IDEs in packages include:

#Netbeans
Codeblocks
#Intellij
#GNOME Builder

And, of course, #Geany, #Vim, #Emacs, Gedit and whatever #KDE editors I'm forgetting about.

I don't know how well all of these "full" IDEs actually run.

And what did I miss?

On my Linux box I use #geany when I work on #cobol or #rust code. On my one Windows machine I rarely write utilities for work (they gave me a #tablet as I am not a DEV). That, and they don't allow support to get any compilers for their "laptops". Doing work on personal device in #freebasic wishing I had geany when I decided to check out their site. They DO have Win version! Installed and happy camper creating 'projects' for my tools to compile & test. Now to put COBOL/RUST on it too.

Awesome en Debian Stable con algunas aplicaciones y componentes de XFCE.

Been using #VSCode for a week at work and it's quite good. Might use it over #PyCharm at some point.

Started using PyCharm when I worked on PsychXR for Oculus, mainly because of the #Cython support. Excellent software, but feels like overkill these days TBH.

Side note, #Geany takes the prize for my most used IDE. Used it exclusively for software development between 2006-2018, longer than anything else.

Books in #pdf format can be difficult to read on e-ink readers. Some reader software allow "reflow" of the text to make it readable, but my #pocketbook device does not know how to do that and #koreader had difficulties as well.

The solution was to use #Calibre, together with the #Geany text editor. Calibre can extract text from pdf, but does not know how to merge lines that belong to the same paragraph. Since end of paragraphs are usually short, a #grep search and replace can be used ...(1/2)

I've added #forth in the #ctags for #geany, so you can list all the words in a convenient way in this code editor...

I definitely recommend #Irfanview batch mode to resize and resample the files; get the 'extras' download as well. (Given you're using #faststone it's safe to assume you're running windows).

Coincidentally but off-topic, Faststone and Irfanview, (and notepad++) are the only apps that I regularly use that I can't also use on #linux. I use #geany instead of #notepad++, but screen captures in particular and batch image management to an extent are still problematical in the linux world.

@fernand0 recuerdo haber ocupado alguna vez busquedas con expresiones regulares en #geany y me gusto mucho, y cada vez que lo necesito echo mano al #regex, aunque apenas si lo manejo
