David Heller / Connie Chan have lost big time in the past few years: Prop I / J & now the Geary Improvement Project. Make no mistake both were aligned and brought out their big gun (Sandy Fewer and Geary/ Clement Merchant Associations) to try to influence the final decision.

@protonmail @gnome Found a way to add the account in #geary by downgrading it to version 40.
Once the account has been created, I upgraded geary back to the latest version (44) and the account is still present and working.

I’m all for simplifying the experience, but do not remove the possibility to have more fine control if needed. This setup with protonmail-bridge is a bit special, and having the possibility to manually enter the IMAP and SMTP servers is sometimes a must have.

#Geary 44 is an awesome release. It fixes a lot of smaller bugs for me. Even one that I never have reported (because I couldn't recreate it at will and was probably something on the graphicsstack) ♥️
The new message view and mail list also feels fresh/more modern now thanks to the layout change and better spacing. Thanks to everyone involved!

Does anyone have any good sugestions for a simple #email client? It's for an elderly person, and I was getting them to use #gnome #geary which is default on #popos but it keeps getting stuck refusing to send emails if one of the items in the outbox has a wrong email; say for example if an #elderly person accidentally types in the wrong thing separating the name from the email address (which it blindly accepts). That's a pretty catastrophic error for #accessibility

I need something else. Ideas?

@me @BleepingComputer yes and I'm still pissed at @mozilla for refusing to actually listen to people like us and actually ask: "Why do you use #Firefox & #Thunderbird and not #Chrome & #Geary?"
Because they'd get to hear #based things like "#privacy" and "#customization" as well as "no shitty #ads" instead.

So instead of plastering shitty ads around, #Mozilla should maybe include more #safety features, harden it more and also add #uBlockOrigin into it.
