Got a giant box y'day to get my paints organised. 🙂 Since I work in my kitchen I have to be able to easily move them about. About half came second hand, especially those crazy expensive GOLDEN brand ones; a nice selection of Winsor&Newton too.
Great incentive to do a bit of printing last night. I was going for that grungy look of old painted walls.

@colorblindcowboy #gelprinting is a #monoprint technique that uses layers of #acrylic paint on a gel plate. Often stencils and other methods are used to remove or add texture. Magazine prints can also be lifted on a clean plate, like the silhouettes in my print.

Still messing around with the Gelli Plate. This time I printed a block from the old Christmas card I mentioned the other day. I’m gonna see how the oil based ink works on top of these and print another block on top with my new Caligo Safe Wash inks. For now I kind of like them without the Nativity printed on top.
