What are folks top capsules/gemlogs/spaces on #Gemini #GeminiProtocol?

One of the good things of the #SmolWeb and #Gemini is, that the search engines actually take permanent redirects and gone replies seriously. So after one crawl, you can remove those entries from your server config and don't have to carry them along for decade like on the web.

FWIW, Im a fan of #GeminiProtocol

It has a minimalist style, including for URIs

So for example a link would function like this

=> https://example.com This is a comment

The norm to add date information is this

=> gemini://example.com 1970-12-31 This is a comment

As such one could provide a hash of a page and put the reference with the date and as the comment.

Similar have been proposed for the opening hash of a file to chain this stuff

@m I agree finding it all a bit overwhelming visually and with UI - very kitchen sink.

However, I do appreciate the 'antennas' functionality.
Searching for #GeminiProtocol words without horoscope feeds is useful.

Switching between the filter and the present point in that bespoke timeline helped.

@szczezuja @bacardi55 I think there have been some nice community, federated and decentralised approaches emerging with #GeminiProtocol

Some cynicism may have kicked in from outsiders but the principles underpinning the protocol are there and there remain creative developments and articulate writings there.

So its all good, #SlowInternet rules - the clusterfuck from mainstream internet isnt abating, there will be alternative approaches waiting for all refugees.
