In reference to women dying because of abortion laws, one Republican politician said, "Let them die. It's god's will."

There was another article recently that used the phrase #GenderApartheid in reference to what #Afghanistan, in the name of religious beliefs, is doing to half its population.

Things aren't as bad in the #USA... yet. But the #GOP is certainly weaponizing the Christian #Religion against American #women.

"The #UN special rapporteur on #HumanRights in #Afghanistan, Richard Bennett, said in a June report that the #Taliban might be responsible for #GenderApartheid. This term should stick.

Notably, South Africa’s representative to the U.N.’s Human Rights Council urged the international community to treat gender apartheid “much like it did in support of South Africa’s struggle against racial apartheid.”"
