Tonight’s #genealogical project involved Anna M. Camperson. Born circa 1859 in #newcastle county #delaware she grew up in the #Christiana Hundred area (hence my earlier #toot ). Around 1880, Anna married Frank Justison. They had three children: George R. (born 1882), Frank L. (born 1887), and Helen (born 1891). Sadly, Anna did not live to see her children grow up. She died in 1891 of #typhoid #fever in #chester #pennsylvania #genealogy #geneadons #Ancestry #familyhistory

Here’s a #uselessfact I just stumbled across in this evening’s #genealogical #research. 153 years ago yesterday (July 5), the 1870 #federal #census was conducted in #Christiana Hundred, #delaware. #genealogy #geneadons #Ancestry

@wigglytuffitout @sarae I frequently deal with these #Russian cursive issues in translating #Polish #genealogical records from the 1870s through the end of #worldwari. The lines occasionally placed over and under the #cursive т and ш respectively help, but are not used consistently, even in the same document. The one that always throws me, though, is the ж. I have gotten used to seeing the yat since it only shows up in a few words and I’ve learned to look for it.

Completing #genealogical research on women who have been married multiple times can be a challenge, but not for #newjersey marriages. The #gardenstate #marriage index lists #bride names under the maiden and all marriage surnames. This was very helpful to me this evening, as I learned that a woman I was researching had been married twice previously before she married the gentleman in my family tree. The discovery unlocked a whole set of records. #genealogy #familytree #strangersocial

Now here's a #genealogical and #historical #mystery. The Will of Dr Richard Turner who in 1770 left everything to Elizabeth Giles "by whom I have had many children and whom I esteem as much as any man does his lawful wife". She was a 'singlewoman', so was he already married? Divorce was impossible for most.

Wishing all customers, future customers, friends and colleagues a wonderful new year 2023 in good health and with great #genealogical discoveries.
One of my small personal results, I managed to discover the names of all the people in this picture, that used to belong to my gran. #genealogy #geneadons #research

This image is the result of two of my passions. #SoftwareDevelopment (also my job) and #genealogical research. The image is scaled down for anonymity. Although only four people are still alive
Gender colors and sibling display were requirements of my daughters. They don't want a family tree without their sister :)
My eldest paternal ancestor was a carter in the postal service, hence maybe my job in the internet business :)

I’m told I should make an #introduction post for my #twittermigration so here it goes…
A mother of 4, gramma of 5. Love #dogs #gardening #history and #genealogical research. A #cancer warrior having beat it 3 times now.
Paralegal looking for a change. Currently taking care of my #autistic granddaughter and loving it!
I’m a Democrat tired of crazy people! Believer in Democracy and aware of its frailty. Jefferson foresaw these problems…

"On this day in 1815, Paul Cuffe of Westport sailed for the west coast of Africa with 38 black emigrants and a cargo of goods on board his vessel. The goal was for the families to begin a new life in Sierra Leone, to bring Christianity to Africans, and to create trade between Africa and the U.S. — one that did not involve trafficking in human beings."

Good 🌄 morning!
I woke up to a good email from a cousin of mine who is happy to help me out with #genealogical information. He's even got a few stories to share.
He even confirmed details I only extrapolated based on dates, locations, and vague memories from my mother.

@Jcnewmark Ah I remember you too Good to reconnect here. I have reduced my time hashtagging to Tuesdays only. I've picked up #genealogical research which takes quite a bit of my free time.
