I went with my husband today (without the kids) and took pictures of at the Salt Lake City Cemetery. And then later in the afternoon, I went to and scanned some documents that my great grandmother put together. I’m exhausted from everything, but I feel like a today!

So my husbands grandmother took her test..and I’m pretty positive that her father is not the father she thought she had, but actually an Italian bartender who owned the tavern where the grandmother and grandfather lived in an apartment above. This is blowing my mind. But what do I do with this info? Do I reach out to the family? Do I tell? Or just let it go? He never had any children by the way (her biological father)

1/4 Some years back, I was contacted by a man writing an article for a ( and collecting) magazine. The man had found my online, and wanted to know if I had any photos for my ancestor, Capt. John Henry Freligh. (I didn't.)

He told me that my had printed much of the for the .

I knew Capt. Freligh had been a Captain, and had published a newspaper for a short time. And family stories said he was friends with Conf.Pres. Jefferson Davis. I even knew that Capt. Freligh's wife was a spy for the South (smuggling information & medicine in the buttons of her dress, across enemy lines).

But I was surprised that out of all those stories, the one that had been lost in our was that he was entrusted with printing the paper money for the South! (He was half of "Freligh & Hutton" on the images below.)
