You know it's time to give up looking for a marriage record when you find an 1878 affidavit stating there was no church or Public record, no family record, and that the surviving widow can't get an affidavit from the minister.

Absolutely. This instance is open to anyone, but if you have interest in #Genelogy that makes it far more interesting for you and others. Not all our chat has to be about Genealogy. I talked about a smoothie this morning!!
