The song was recorded by Ricky Nelson at the famous #UnitedWesternRecorders Studios on 22nd March, 1961. Nelson's version, issued as a #doubleAside with his No. 1 hit "#TravelinMan", (Imperial 5741), reached No. 9 on the Billboard music charts on May 28, 1961. In the #UnitedKingdom it reached No. 2.

First music of the day: #GenePitney's "Something's Got Hold of My Heart." Most folks never heard it before #MarcAlmond covered it at the end of the 80s.
Pitney made my Mum's socks go up and down. She bought the single and played on repeat (not easy with a 45 record) on her portable record player.
