I think I would have been incredulous if you told me in 2016 that 6 years later we would be almost to the brink of nuclear war with russia - again - over their encirclement by US/NATO military bases, because of the arming of extremist groups in Ukraine including a bloody coup, and the attacks against russian infrastructure, but here we are.

I'm sure this is a rodeo you've been to before, and I assure you it's one I've been to as well, so let's cut to the chase. You support democrats, despite everything. I oppose democrats, because of everything.

My vote is for #generalaction because millions (and billions outside the country) cannot and should not wait for another century for Americans to "incrementally" figure this out.

The democrat party has failed the working class SO MANY times in the last 40 years alone, only a person who continues to enjoy the conditions of this broken economy would claim NON-participation in a 2 party duopoly-oligarchy is some form of entitlement or lack of empathy. That is a fantasy statement built on 1) pretending the plight of black & brown folks can be ignored or the buck passed, and 2) the fantasy that the electoral system works, that massive propaganda is not affecting everyone's ability to make informed choices, and that candidates who will substantively change *anything* make it onto the running. They won't. They haven't. Did you see what happened to Bernie - the ONLY Democrat whose platform promises to improve life for anyone? He's all alone in even wanting minimal pro-labor, pro-environment policy!

We have half a Century or more of evidence of this, and everybody should be familiar with the "Ratchet Effect" by now. (we couldn't make good on our campaign promises becuase the REPUBLICANS stopped us, despite our team having the presidency, majorities, etc)

On top of the Blue Team / Red Team good cop/bad cop routine, there is the Prayer Breakfast organization, also known as The Fellowship, which is a secretive Christian cult/politics affair where democrats and Republicans "meet under god, seek spiritual guidance, and work together to get things done." A good documentary called "The Family" was published on the topic by Jeff Sharlet, whose shocking expose of what these elected officials are doing TOGETHER as they pretend to be 2 distinctly different teams should shock you.

Democrats have failed the most needy, most vulnerable voters in the nation, allowed fascists to grow and prosper because of the DNCs inability to attract more voters, and people like Kristin Sinema, Leiberman, Clinton(whom I hope to never see again), and other CONSERVATIVE democrats are allowed into the party, who fail environmental policy, they fail labor and wage improvements, police brutality and police de-funding actions, foreign policy / NATO / cold war 2, student loan forgiveness, abortion rights, "citizens united" and "unlimited money as speech", trickle-down economics, healthcare, and pretty much EVERY important issue they have had their hands in.

There isn't enough of a substantial difference between the governance and policies of republicans vs democrats, and democrats have doubled and tripled down on this becuase they would rather woo right wing voters than leftist voters. This is *obvious* and struggling communities hate to hear flippant comments like yours, blaming them for the systemic failures that exist inside this system, long before we were all alive. Blaming them for feeling oppressed and disinfranchised, attempting to punish them for knowing the system won't help them, is basically racist its so disconnected from the true struggle.

Its time for a new chapter in the Democrat party, or for the party to step aside and work with socialists, unionists, and people with ideas OUTSIDE "market-based" (for profit) solutions for problems created BY market-based solutions. Democrats aren't that party.

Its like the Marches for Causes. They took struggle messaging and appropriated it for permitted, curated, star-powered "Marches" which were designed to give neoliberals the feeling they had participated in "historic protests", but those were not protests, they were events, and they profited organizations. These marches also allowed the neoliberals to distance themselves from real street protests, and to claim the real protests were just "riots."

Marching for Causes, or claiming to be against fascism, is not enough. In fact #GeneralAction seems to be our only way through this.
