Now that I fly only aircraft with #yokes instead of #sticks and without bubble canopies, a yoke mount seems more practical for my #Android #tablet than a suction cup. Most dealers in Germany charge over €50 for the yoke mount alone (without link or tablet holder), but I found it for €20 (plus shipping), so that was great.

@Aut Landing the Evektor SportStar in EDLO. No problem stopping it in roughly 400 m, even over the hillside and on the downsloping runway. So I never thought it was particularly slippery. I think these were my 2rd and 3nd flight on the type.

The weird thing, I didn't really notice it, just thought "Odd, I thought I had closed the door already." Both times. It was only during the Flugtag the weekend after that, that other pilots told me this happened frequently on our C172. It has since been fixed. I think.

And in today's bad news, after six or seven weeks making the thing, it doesn't fit in the airplane.
Had the right measurements for the luggage compartment but then I stuck fifty pockets on the bag and now it doesn't fit. It's sitting on top of the compartment there, the compartment is open and it just won't fit in, even when squished a little.
No, it can't sit there, that'd be a whole page in the AAIU crash report.
Bugger. Now I have to make another one...

@Aut We had a SportStar MAX (600 kg, constant-speed-prop, wider cabin) in our club, until some totalled it in a hard landing (bent airframe, written off, but no injuries). It was a good fun. Agile if you wanted to, but also a stable and efficient touring plane.
I got my constant-speed-prop training on it (there is no simple "complex" endorsment, but different features require individual "differences training" in EASA country).

I know of at least one who signed up for flying lessons on the spot, but I'm sure there were more. I didn't see a single person who wasn't grinning from ear-to-ear when leaving the aircraft after landing; for most of them it was the first flight in a light aircraft, and for many the first flight, ever.
