First, here is the thing about #AI: sometimes we get stuck on trying to solve one problem (e.g.: #generalintelligence holy grail), while for other problems progress is exponential (e.g.: just 10 years ago, nobody thought that we could do live #conversation live #captioning and #translation). From that perspective, even if it looked “rubbish”, it’s only going to get better! Second, even humans make rubbish #art, so we should cut the AI some slack! Hehe!

FWIW I believe that @ceperez makes some suggestions contra #Cavia that #Encoding and #Embedding have impressive results in #DL (that most likely validated some of #Cavia’s claims) but fall short of underpinning #GeneralIntelligence: “Rendering every object computable” is insufficient.
