I'm excited to let you all know about my upcoming solo exhibition of new works opening next week on Nov 17 and running through Dec 18 at Collision Gallery.
DO COMPUTERS WORRY YOU, my newest body of work, continues my exploration into the poetics, material, and politics of computation. Custom circuit boards, networks, and artist-written software come together with industrial and domestic materials, found texts, and bespoke algorithms imagining a more expressive, personal, and poetic computer.
The show runs concurrently with a new exhibition from Simon Fuh called "Greenlight: Carlaw" exploring housing precarity, being young, and breaking the law through a six channel architectural sound installation.
If you're in/around Toronto I'd love to show you around! If you're not and still want to see it there will be documentation, or send me a message and we can arrange a remote tour via video chat. :)

Baby’s first attempt at #generativepoetry 🎉 Using command line tools + two poems I’d written years ago.
It’s nothing complex at all, but it was really fun exploring an everyday work tool, like the CLI, and looking at it with fresh new eyes as I played around with familiar commands to try and create something I felt was good enough to be called poetic.
