Ugh, I'm just done with a relatively successful #GenesysRPG #TTRPG fantasy one-shot, and I think I've got enough confidence to start a maybe 6 month or so campaign and see how it goes, but…

… not interested in Terrinoth, the default fantasy setting, and not interested in making something completely custom.

I've thought about running a Ebberon campaign back when I was still interested in #DnD…

…but it seems like a hard sell getting people to join an Ebberon setting with #GenesysRPG rules 😂😂😂.

I get the Discord fatigue, but for me, for systems like #StarWarRPG, #GenesysRPG, #StargateRPG, and #MothershipRPG, finding the official (or unofficial) One True Discord has helped me find people to play with, because it concentrates the small number of people who want to play *that* game in one place.

Has to be a big enough system to even have its own Discord, I suppose.

Ayer pude darle un vistazo a la caja de inicio del jdr “Star Wars: El Despertar de la Fuerza”. Y oye, me parece un producto redondo: libretos pequeños, hojas llamativas para los pjs, mapas en un DINA3 a doble cara, dados y fichas de cartón por si eres de los que les gusta representar en mesa lo que pasa en la partida.

La reglas, de un primer vistazo, parecen bastante chulas y similares a las que usa XWing. Si no voy equivocado, son un derivado del sistema Genesys.

Además, ahora lo tenéis a mitad de precio, no llega a los 12€; más barato que pillar solo los dados a parte…

Really excited to see how the vastly simplified magic system in #GenesysRPG feels.

I played #DnD as a kid, then put it away as "childish things". Guess I'm regressing to childhood, because I've been gradually getting back into it more and more as an adult, almost 10 years now.

Just as I dove head-first into #CriticalRole and #Dimension20, I started becoming less enamored of #DnD, and am currently looking into #GenesysRPG and other games, including #StargateRPG.

We've taken a long break from our home game and still have some break yet to go, but I'm getting excited to get back to it.

The PCs have been in town for a month after closing out the first Act of the campaign. I plan to come up with individual micro-adventures for each player, something to help them re-engage with their characters, develop their own story a little, and focus on non-combat challenges. Really looking forward to these little 1on1 character explorations!

OGL clinched it but it was the pace of combat that had me at a breaking point anyway. We played once a month or so, so sure, I could throw in dumb random encounters to use up their resources and make it more challenging. But it didn’t feel worth it. Especially when we played so infrequently, every encounter felt like it had to be consequential.

Looking forward to running #genesysrpg (shadow of the beanstalk, my own setting), #Magonomia and whatever other fun stuff they might like!

I’m reading Cortex Prime, and I initially loved it, but I’m 70 pages in now and starting to miss Genesys.

Any fans of Genesys here?
I loved the FFG Star Wars, and I had a great time with Android and Something Strange.

I’m not giving up on Cortex Prime of course, I bought it so I’m going to read it in full and try to run it at least a couple of times to see if it comes together.

Exclusively psychological or social mechanics in a tactical #TTRPG? Or is it pure, cringe-inducing geekery to model these non-physical domains with dice procedures? Games like #VtM, #GenesysRPG, and #CortexPrime implement mental and emotional stress tracks, but whereas a wargame simulates real, historical combat outcomes, can roleplaying games replicate human psychology sans our intuition's constant course-corrections?

I really like the idea if playing multiple types of games taking place in the same setting, eg
- #TwilightImperium + #EmbersOfTheImperium (#GenesysRPG)
- #AndroidNetrunner + #ShadowOfTheBeanstalk (#GenesysRPG)

@AetherEgo Thanks, but it will depend on my group if I get to play it - currently we are basically in the grand finale of a rather long #homebrew #GenesysRPG campaign, after which the GM steps down.
If one of the other players wants to take over, this is fine by me, otherwise I will GM the #BladeRunnerRPG quick start case file.
Unfortunately currently I have far to little chance for gaming overall...

New release for #genesysrpg Adversaries! If you want a quick way to build NPCs for your #TTRPGs this gives you a quick notation.

This is a bugfix release that prevents duplicate names in the world definition, and a potential crash on resource free.
