Incorrect. The UN Refugee Convention does not make this requirement of refugees, and UK case law supports this interpretation. Refugees can legitimately make a claim for asylum in the UK after passing through other “safe” countries.

Just to make your head aking a bit more: The #GenevaConvention puts all responsibilities for atrocities during a military conflict into the hands of the highest ranking military commander, usually the head of a state.

A federated Army in which leaders (officers) are elected, can hence barely comply with the Geneva convention, which as someone stated correctly, has in deed a surprising low amount of cosplayers.

Thus in an anarchist army are only those responsible, that were actually responsible. A philosophy that capitalists still surprises. 🙄

This does not get enough attention - an early DeSantis job out of Harvard law was to “advocate for the fair and humane treatment” of the prisoners at Gitmo in Cuba.

“In June, the military prison had its first reported deaths after three detainees reportedly killed themselves. And that fall, Pentagon officials would create the first post-9/11 interrogation standards that forbid waterboarding and other harsh tactics.”

“Captain Patrick McCarthy supervised DeSantis at the Guantanamo camp and has said that DeSantis was tasked with ensuring that prisoners were given their rights under Common Article 3 of the Geneva Conventions. DeSantis "made sure [detainees] were addressed in a way that was consistent with the law", McCarthy said.”

Another mass grave site was found in #Kherson, the Prime Minister of #Ukraine announced.

“On November 30, in the village of #Pravdino (#Kherson region), mass graves of victims of the #Russian occupation were discovered: 7 civilians, including a teenage girl. They disregarded the 4th #GenevaConvention, which prohibits violence against civilians. They just kill,” #AlekseyReznikov wrote on Twitter.
