My last attempt at this came out okay, but because it was hand-painted, it didn't feel quite in the spirit of #Genuary. Here's a version that's much more generative. I've learned pretty quickly as a rookie in #Genuary2023 that life sure does get in the way of #Genuary.

For #Genuary7, here's a fork of a neat pen I found using anime.js. I'm working with the color pallet from the cover of Zony Mash's 'Brand Spankin' New', an extremely funky and soulful album that I had in heavy rotation through much of my time in college.

I chose First Circle by Pat Metheny Group. My challenge this time was to see if I could go from concept to post in an hour, since that's all the time I was willing to take away from my sleep (busy day). I made it with a few minutes to spare! And I managed to figure out how to do something that I had attempted and failed at last spring. So I'm stoked. Week 1 done!
